Terms of service

Last updated: [TODO-JURIDIQUE : publication date]

1. Purpose

These terms govern access to and use of Boxcore, an online platform enabling gyms (“boxes”) to run CrossFit and Hyrox competitions: event creation, judge management, real-time public leaderboard, online registrations and a merch store.

They are issued by [TODO-JURIDIQUE : registered company name] , hereafter “Boxcore”.

2. Acceptance

Creating an account constitutes unreserved acceptance of these terms. Boxcore may amend them; active users are notified of material changes by email, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the amended version.

3. Account

Using the service requires an account. Users warrant the accuracy of the information they supply and are responsible for keeping their credentials confidential. Any action taken from an account is attributable to its holder.

4. Plans and pricing

Prices are in euros, [TODO-JURIDIQUE : state whether inclusive or exclusive of VAT] . Pricing is flat: it does not vary with the number of competitions, teams or participants.

Passes are paid once and do not auto-renew. On expiry, users freely decide whether to buy another.

5. Registration and store payments — respective roles

Boxcore charges no commission and collects no payment for registrations or store orders. Those payments are collected directly by the organiser using their own payment facilities.

Boxcore acts solely as a software provider. The organiser is solely responsible towards participants for running the event, its pricing, refunds, invoicing, delivery of goods sold and compliance with the regulations applicable to their activity.

6. Right of withdrawal

Consumers in the European Union have fourteen (14) days to withdraw from a pass purchase.

By requesting immediate performance of the service during that period, the user acknowledges losing the right of withdrawal once their first competition is published.

7. User obligations

Users must not:

8. Availability

Boxcore undertakes to use reasonable efforts to keep the service available. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, or where a third-party provider fails. [TODO-JURIDIQUE : quantified availability commitment, if you wish to give one]

9. Liability

Boxcore is not liable for indirect damages, including loss of revenue, loss of customers or reputational harm, arising from use or unavailability of the service.

Save for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, Boxcore's liability is capped at the amount actually paid by the user during the twelve (12) months preceding the triggering event.

Nothing above limits consumers' statutory rights.

10. Personal data

Data processing is described in the privacy policy.

11. Termination

Users may delete their account at any time. Boxcore may suspend or terminate an account for serious breach of these terms, after a formal notice left without effect for fifteen (15) days, except in cases of urgency or manifest illegality.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Consumers may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator: [TODO-JURIDIQUE : mediator name and contact details] , or use the European online dispute resolution platform.
